POTROCS currently has an active membership of 42, including original "Rocket Boy" Q.T. Wilson of "October Sky" fame. POTROCS hosted LDRS 25 and also host the annual CANSAT competition for universities. POTROC’s members also built and flew the Aurora Project featured on the Discovery Channel`s "Rocket Challenge", and won the "Super Sonic Challenge". Our site boasts windows to 25K, ample recovery area, and helpful members willing to guide new members. We welcome all skill level`s of rocketeers from Estes to Experimental High Power. UROC is Utah’s local section of the National Association of Rocketry (Section 523) and also represents the Tripoli Utah Prefecture for the Tripoli Rocketry Association. NOVAAR is the only public rocket club in the Northern Virginia suburbs of Washington. Our 170 members, who range from age 7 to 70, fly NAR/TRA-certified rocket motors in the 1/4A to J class at our beautiful launch site in Fauquier County. We fly once per month year-round, with a 4500 AGL waiver. Visiting fliers and spectators are welcome. We meet at 7 PM the first Tuesday of each month in Burke, VA.
